There isn't firmware for this issue yet. Firmware is being released this year, most recent models first.

I have this list too, and checked for the MP C2000 (AT-C1) and it seems that there won't be firmware update for this model.

The newer version of SMB in Windows 8/2012 should be backwards compatible with the SMB used by all copiers, the highest common version should be negotiated on connection. I say should be, because in practice so far it is not. However, I believe this may be due to a setting being missed in the newer version of Windows. I can only guess that share encryption is turned on by default or SMB is forced at a level too high; but as I do no have a copy of W8/2012 I cannot test these.

A quick scan through Google shows some users having success with different brands by creating local user accounts.

(Does Ricoh OS use SMBv1 or v2?)

Ricoh's can use v1 or v2 (v2 can be enabled through telnet) but "backwards compatable" is far from the case. Ricoh is working on firmware for the 02 and 01 series machines, but do not expect a fix for many of the older machines. Testing with Win 8, and the encryption of SMB 3 has not produced a valid workaround.

but there is still not a direct answer there.

There will be no update for the MP C2000 (AT-C1), see the list posted by Jolynar. So you'll have to figure out another way to scan. FTP or Email are some options.

Try scan to email, should work just fine.
Color is not 4 times harder... it's 65,000 times harder. They call it "TECH MODE" for a reason. I have manual's and firmware for ya, course... you are going to have to earn it.

You have an Internet connections so chances are that you also have a mail server.
