    task alfa 8000i to 3051ci

I have a school with an 8000i and 999 user numbers in job accounting, they have 9 new 3051 machines and I have tried to export and import using 917.
it just errors out .the education dept will not allow the use of km-net viewer .I can load it but it wont allow me to manage the machines.
anyone know a way of putting all those numbers on the new machines (or at least one so I can 917 them to all the others)
    thanks

The setup tool is available for this very function. If you're a Kyocera dealer, you "should" have access to it. Shoot me your email address if you can't find it & I'll send it to you.
    Hope that helps !

I seem to recall that, even though the manual states that you can have up to 999 job account codes, the machine starts running out of memory to hold this data around 990, then it starts to act really squirrelly.

If you are using an import utility the import just crashes. If you import 980 of them then start to manually enter the remaining, the machine starts locking up the closer you get to 999.

The really sad thing is that after spending a week, finding a way to get this to work with 980 job accounts, the customer decides "We're just not going to use job accounting. It's just too inconvenient." You mean the 40 hours I spent last week figuring it out? Yes that really inconvenient.

        =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
