Hi guys!

Im facing SMB Scanning in Window 8 by setting Copier Ricoh MP2550 and MP2550B

Any latest firmware to update on that model?

The firmware from Paul actually i already purchase but not this Model of MP2550.

Im a new user here and im not very sure about rules in here.

Because previously i saw some user here are willing to share the firmware, so i try to ask.

If i do any wrong, then im sorry about the thread i had post.

Just want to ask you the meaning of "Give" is share the firmware with others or technical advice?

There are a lot of new users here who ask for firmware on the first posts. If they have it, they won't come back. So the "unwritten" rule here is :

Help someone out a few times and show that you're willing to contribute to this site. If all users see that you help to find a solution for someone else's problems, then you can expect something back.

If you ask for firmware or service manuals in the first posts, chances are that you will be ignored.

Don't do this for the customer but advise them to update to Windows 8.1 (make sure they have system restore enabled or another type of system/data backup) as with Windows 8.1 has SMB v1 available. This can be enabled or disabled from Control Panel > Programs > Program Features.

From my understanding Windows 8 doesn't have SMB v1 backward compatibility.

If they do not or cannot enable SMB v1 (like MAC OSX). You can use SMB over TCP by adding the port (445) to the destination and using the IP address instead of the name.

Example using SMB v1
\\mypc\scans

Example using SMB v2
\\10.0.0.25:445\scans
