Of the 100,000 copies on the machine only a little over 33,000 of them are color copies. So the drums still have life.

I have 30 of these machine on a industrial site very harsh conditions the drum life is 50% to 80% max I also have a couple of these in clean environment's and max is 90% normal drum life is 70 to 80 % for color drums. black I can get 100% most times

His colour drums are on 80% you say you get 70-80% so his are due for replacement!

          Update:
          - Took out the ITB assembly and double checked everything. All was good, no excess toner on the belt after copies are made. ITB-POS = -380
          - Removed the Process Unit and cleaned, vacuumed and re-seated all of the drums.
          - Cleaned the laser glass.
          - Removed all toner bottles, vacuumed and cleaned the toner hoppers.
          - Removed and cleaned the Secondary Transfer Outer Roller.
          (ran COPIER>FUNCTION>CLEANING>TNR-COAT)
          - Vacuumed and cleaned all of the sensors involved in the process.

After a few hundred color copies this is where I'm at (see attached).
It seems as though the yellow streaks are 95% gone. Magenta streaks are 85% gone and the Cyan streaks are 70-75% gone.

Clearly it's not fixed, but something I did seems to have helped. However I did too much at once so I'm not sure what it was, d'oh!

If you don't want to replace drums to see if it gets rid of lines I think you could swap the color drums around and see if the marks move with the drums (I am thinking the colors would move with the drums). I wipe across the developer mag roller with clean rag to see if there is a build up (happens a lot in this model). It looks like drums, your first post looked like ITB cleaning blade. I use test page 10 a lot for trouble shooting color.

So, a new drum did nothing to help. Each color still has the same streaks in the same place with a new drum!

Is there possibly an ITB pressure adjustment? When a lighter weight paper is selected the lines are less prominent, but when I select a cover stock the lines are incredibly dark. I feel like a slight pressure adjustment could make a world a difference, but I can't find said setting.

              Update:
I picked the worst color in my machine making streaks (yellow) and replaced not only the drum cylinder, but the cleaning blade, charge roller and chip and it works! Yellow streaks are gone! I'm going to do the same to the other two colors and I should be good (till the next problem).

Thanks for all the help and suggestions!

Hi , I looked at your picture in the OP. I stopped this problem immediately with a new ITB cleaning assembly... a few months ago. Color drums had about 30k.

The whole ITB clean assembly needed replaced. Not just the blade. This assembly was updated to a newer and better version. The same thing happened in the C3100 series.

so what your saying is when we recommend replacement of drum unit your rebuilding the drum unit with aftermarket parts?

Aftermarket parts are a waste of time & money.

                      We only reccomend genuine Canon.
