[Misc] Scan to folder after Win 10 upgrade

Customer has just upgraded to Windows 10 (from 7) and claims that since then he can't scan to folder from irADV2030L (with i send kit fitted)
I know it used to work, but I also know he is a bit of a fiddler and can't always believe everything he tells me.
On further investigation i found that the PC can ping the MFD but the MFD can't ping the PC.
Likewise the PC can print to the MFD but when browsing network from MFD I cannot see PC.
This is only a home network (barely even a network) One PC , one MFD and an EE router.
MFD will ping the router. Customer also runs Norton 360, could that be blocking incoming connections ?
Anyone else had issues with Windows 10 upgrades ? SMB version maybe ?

I agree with teckat - too many issues. Had a customer upgrade their PC to Windows 10 and found out somethings do not work anymore. Had to roll them back to Windows 7.

you can try checking if windows is somehow started blocking homegroup members sharing options. option used to be in control panel -network - advanced sharing setting.

also all of the usual; could be changed.

-usernames and passwords (different username seen from command prompt )
        -network discovery
        -permissons - users
        -firewall and antivirus
-host and file paths .. ( If host path consists of it's IP adress check that router DHCP has not changed the computer adress)

Do you get send error number

It turned out to be Norton taking control of the windows firewall !!!!

Uninstall Norton, complete waste of money, time & Windows resources!
Windows comes with free intigrated antivirus software & has done since win 7 (microsoft security essentials or windows defender)

Reconfirm the user's credentials such as password and username.

Even I faced the same problem on windows 10 with McAfee and Eset. Problem is not because of windows its because of auto updates of anti viruses. Just disabled the firewall n everything was working.
