    Canon 5000d

We recently bought a 5000d for one of the small offices in our warehouse which didn't come with a netcard. so i purchased a NIC on ebay and installed it, works fine, except i found out that the copier doesn't have PCL/PS installed. I have the SST, updated the software, with no luck, does the copier require hardware for PCL/PS, and IP printing? thanks!

that nic should have came with a network boot rom as well ,the copier comes standard with a copier only boot rom. both have to be replaced to be able to print . in service mode check versions : should be (boot n) not (boot c)

Yeah, the NIC's are easy to find. It's the N boot rom that lets it print.

After you get the N boot rom installed you'll need to reflash the system software to the N version.

You cannot flash the boot from C to N.
