    [CQ] IRAC5250 No Yellow

    image.jpg

I found a broken yellow drive coupling, in the rear on the machine (see pic) has anyone else seen this part break? & how does one replace it, looks a nightmare trying to drop in the pin into the new coupling, even with the ITB & drums unit!?

I am afraid that you will have main drive unit on the floor.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it

I have replaced one and the other tech about 3. Some are easier to reach. Put paper back there and carry and extra pin. It is doable. Take drum and itb assemblys out and have some one with a long arm reach in. I thought I was going to have to replace more but so far not. No need to remove drive assembly. Just hold your mouth right when you put the pin in. The kit has all the parts you need but don't drop pin or carry extra one. Same pin as the new style coupling has. Not easy but doable. Taking the door off makes it easier. Just awkward!

You mention "a kit" what is this part number please? I've just ordered the two coupling parts & the pin (10 of each)

A few, ha ha. The older I get the less I want to travel, so guess I will not visit for a while anyway. I keep telling myself I will work past my retirement if they let me but we will see.
