Well, the hard disk got spoiled and i had to format it. For it to function again, i am told i have to get sst for canon Ir 3300 to be able to install.

P.S it a photocopier machine not a printer.

Copiers and Multifunction Printers provide similar, if not the same, functions.
In many cases, the biggest difference between these devices is scale: size, number of features and degree of flexibility.


P.S. = These MFP imageRunners are actually considered PRINTERS

P.S. = U can only Format the Canon Printers HDD while inside & attached to Printer, using the Format File from Printers Firmware that is registered in SST Program.

U will need a new OEM HDD or a refurbished HDD model that is acceptable for your model/series.

HDD Descriptor Files were regular text files which could be edited to add new HDD formats when necessary. More recently Canon has started encrypting the files to prevent them being editted. As such, newer model Canon
ImageRUNNER's will require that authentic Canon HDD's be installed should they require replacement. Generic drives may not be on the list of supported drives for the SSTand Canon will not release a list of supported drives.

Examples of Editable vs. Encrypted files would be:
Editable: iR2200/2800/3300 iRC3100 iRC5800/6800
Encrypted: iR2270/2870/3370 iRC3380 iRC4580/5180

all of these HDD's (new or refurbished) listed below will/should work in your model/ & if not recognized by PRINTER FORMAT FILE > u can Edit the HDD Descriptor Files (see pdf)
