OK, covered before I know, looking for tips. New firmware, shimmed connectors (very clean-like new), swapped secondary transfer unit AND fixing feeder PWB...have not been into back of machine to check DC controller connectors and harness yet due to machine location. Fuser has been swapped too, due to last tech left lamp wire loose and shorted out on upper belt drive roller shaft -POOF!- breaker trip, mulitiple times.
Symptom: Secondary transfer unit lifts 4 times, looking for signal return? ThumpThumpThumpThump during power up- I know it will code out. Was intermittent, now error is almost permanent.
Will get into back of machine in a couple days when moved.

Hey Toner Boy, I have the exact same issues on the same model.
I swapped an entire drawer from a working machine. Still get the

Still get the same symptoms (even the thumping secondary transfer unit ). Looks like it may be the internal harness?

I already checked and replugged the dc controller side of the fixing feed harness. (Sorry for the multiple replies, my phone is acting up )

Let me know if you resolved this. I did not, machine is still in same state - sorry for very late reply. Swapped DC CONTROLLER I/F PCB ASS'Y and DC CONTROLLER MOTHER PCB ASS'Y with no change in symptoms.

I had to walk away from this one for a while...

It appears the only connector in between is the drawer connector. I've also swapped the Fixing Feeder PWB of course.

Fixing/Feeder Drawer Assembly connectors on both machine frame side (FM3-4977-000) and drawer side (FM4-1313-000)

Have been through this several times also, sometimes it is paper in the connection and sometimes the connectors is smashed
