I knew about what at ebay.com store, but the problem is that I can't get any benefit out of the warranty,
because when it's defective, I will pay too much to ship it back.

So, I feel bad today. There are many experienced technicians here who don't want to share their knowledge to beginners. Beginners should teach themselves by themselves.

first u need to understand >Canon product training is "EXPENSIVE" either to the large authorized dealership or the small startup companies who are trying to get authorized.

U take into account > Travel > Hotel Rooms > Time Away From Family > Course Expense > Time to Study > Time to Take Tests > / and u can see why some trained people are reluctant to just give away knowledge, manuals, firmware, parts, et cetera > et cetera

Are you referring to "Manuals For You"? The person who maintained that site died and you are a few years too late for that.

Mr. Teckat, I have trained technicians at my city, but the problem is with some very expensive spare parts like HDD and drum.
So, I ask here for help when those techs found difficulties to repair or missed spare parts.
And by the way, the word "reluctant" is against by believe.

Mr. Iowatech, yes that man who I was referring to, and I am sorry for the lost.
I already bought the Service Manual + Parts Manual + Firmware + SST, but I didn't have SST Manual yet.
Also, I am stuck on how to install the software and firmware to non genuine IDE HDD through the connector as in picture below to USB plugged in my laptop.

U will learn this is a rare site to find online with the wealth of knowledge on these products.

Service Manual u purchased will explain on how to use basic procedures for SST.

New/or Re-Furbished HDD's need to be Formatted >inside the Printer with SST, using registered printers firmware HDFormat.ift file.
Then u can load in firmware to it.

I used to work for a small independent copier dealership, I could only get firmware & manuals by asking on this site, I used to hit a brick wall many times, but there were also some understanfing engineers that were happy to help!
So now I'm in a position to help, below I have listed the SST (service support tool) & the IR105 firmware.
I hope it is of some help, your HDD may not be DOA, it's worth formatting it using the SST below & reloading the system software also below.
