Re: IR 3380i streaks
Right, do a PG5 on all drums, if the streaks are only on color, probably a drum problem. Compare PG5 with the removed drums, lines on the roll of the drums ?

Internal test prints :
Press "Maintenance" button (the head with an *) press 2&8 simultaneously, press "Maintenance" again.
Press copier-> test> PG
Select "type" and enter 5 (or 10)
Select color Y/M/C K (Black)
set one of them to "1" , the others to "0"
Press the startbutton.
Do this for eacht color.
PG5 you get a whole page in the selected color (set to 1)
Or select all colors and select Pg10, you get 1 page with all colors next to each other.
Now look at the testprint for lines in any of the colors... (or post the here)

Re: IR 3380i streaks
You don't disassemble the drum units on this model, simply replace the complete dev/dev unit as one!Let us eat, drink, and be merry, because tomorrow we may die!

Re: IR 3380i streaks
Yes that is more than likely the developer clogging up.
I've just replaced the Developer in all 4 colours for a 3380i its simpe enough once you've cracked open the casing. It is glued on so needs some prying to get it open.
There is very rarely anything wrong with the drums on these machines.
More worryingly though after the 2 white lines we are all looking at there appears to be a thumb or finger print in the black tint / solid towards the bottom of the pdf.

Re: IR 3380i streaks
yes, you can just throw them out and install new ones, but when you have a good drum unit with just some debris on the doctor blade, you take it apart and clean it.Accidents don't just happen. They must be carelessly planned.Comment

Re: IR 3380i streaks
You could try this, whenever you get line/lines, I have(sometimes successful) get a piece of paper and turn the drum/DV unit on its side and slide the paper into the slit between the drum and developer, where the area of the line is at, slide the paper back and forth, have many a times taken care of that void area where that particular color has light streaks, then turn mag roller(with needle nose) back and forth a couple times, then try it. Good Luck.(that has saved me lots)Comment
