    IR Adv 8105 E001-002 on A5, B5 and A4-R

    Hi!
Today i am facing a strange problem with my machine.
Printing in A4 and A3 i dont have any issue, but printing small formats like B5, A5 even A4-R, machine after 2-3 minutes on printing, shows me E001-002.
I changed the main thermistor but nothing new.
Temperature on main thermistor shows 192-202 grade celcius (when printing) but in edges of fuser roller, sub-thermistor goes fast to 230 grade celcius and i got the error code.
Checked and inspected but could not find any issue physically.
    Any help i'll appreciate.
    Thank you

Replace the sub thermistor as like you say that is the one giving the false reading.

I got an E001-0003 for a fixing film that wasn't seated properly. I know your code is different, but still maybe worth checking?

Oh wait, that doesn't have a film, does it? Wrong machine.

I agree, if you have replaced (or swapped) all thermistors then i'd look at the fixing roller, especially if it's non OEM!

have you check the thermostat? thermostat it can also control the heat temperature if overheat detect from hot roller that is automatically switch off do not just focus on thermistor, the two parts was designed to protect for overheating......

I had a 8295 I had to replace the top half of the fuser twice for E001 codes (don't remember the sub code). Tried thermistors and same problem.

Normally if the shutter was a issue you would get a dedicated error, but considering it's smaller sizes I'd consider that as well.

8105 has no shutter...ends are overheating on small stock.

Totally incorrect....thermostat will open if over heated. NO EFFECT ON TEMPERATURE CONTROL AT ALL. If it opens it will not reset by itself and machine would be down...service mode reset will not fix it in this case. To reset thermostat, stick it in the freezer for a while then smack it with a screwdriver handle. Been resetting them like this for 25 years.

                          why error: E001-002

Fixing Assembly high temperature error (software detection). The Fixing Main Thermistor (THM1) detects 230 degC or higher. The Fixing Sub Thermistor 1 (THM2)/Fixing Sub Thermistor 2 (THM4) detects 230 degC or higher for 2 consecutive seconds.

                          Solution:

                          1. Check if the cable of the Thermistor is caught. -> Replace the Thermistors. -> Replace the Fixing Assembly. 2. IH control error. -> Replace the Fixing Power Supply PCB (PCB10), the DC Controller PCB (PCB1), or the Main Driver PCB (PCB2).

Hope it is useful for you.

                          Linda
