The transfer charge is shorting out intermitant. I get a e00069 error intermitant. I replaced the sep/transfer ass'y, still have problem. Copies have 1-2" light print across page. Ran machine with front door open and can not see any shorting out.

Could be a couple of things:
E069 - Have you replaced the upper fuser roller recently, if you have check the bushings are in the right way round, and plastic collar isn't broken Did you replace t/sep with pt no FM3-0455-010, this is the new correct part, check the wire cleaner isn't stuck in the middle of the t/sep unit(this will give light copies)
Oh...... I can't copy at the moment then ? !!!!!!

Check the bushes, they are both on the inside of the top bearings, I know this causes 069 cause Ive had it before.

behind the trans, sep assy. is a black plastic block with a metal pin sticking out of it which engages with the back of the machine. sometimes that plastic block gets cracked and needs to be replaced.

I took the fuser out and the back bushing broke off and there is a wire that looks like a groung that goes across the fuser bearing and that is off the bearing because the bushing broke. I ordered the bushing and will see if that fixes the problem
              Thank you

That took care of the problem. The spacer bushing was broken on the upper fuser roller, and caused the ground on the fuser bearing to come off. Never would of thought of that.

That is actually the bias for the fuser that comes from the transfer charger. Some have been known to disconnect the wire that runs from the connector behind/below the transfer charger. have had fuser pressure too tight and filings from bearings caused e069 codes.
