    IR7095 finisher problem

Working on a 7095 with a Saddle Finisher V2. The copier had a problem with the DC control board so we got that repaired and they upgraded the firmware when they repaired it. Now the copier works perfect without the finisher, but the finisher does not work. When you turn the copier on the trays do not go up or down and the finisher doesn't make any noise at all. The lights on the control boards inside the back of the copier have all red lights on them so i know it is getting power. On the copier control screen it doesn't show the finisher as being attached. Do I need to enable the finisher in the service menu or is there something wrong with the finisher.

    1. Make sure all the machine connectors are connected.
    2. Turn everything off (maybe make this #1)
    3. Make sure punch (if you have one) is powered on.
    4. Power on finisher, then copier.

We did all of that. Also we checked all the voltages coming off the power supply and everything was fine.

There's a sub-setting in one of the "additional functions" modes called "limited functions" or "disabled function" or something like that. Might be under system settings? [It's 1:30am] -- needs to be set to "off". On the newer IR's, when there's a problem with some parts of the unit it will disable the affected assembly but let the machine continue running without erroring out. Will stay disabled til you physically reset it. Finisher problems can be reset in AF mode. Bet that's it.

have you told the machine there is a finisher attatched to it? go into *28* copier -options -ACCPST-D use this to set the order of the accessories . ensure that it is set to 1 or 2 whatever comes first . turn off and then on machine in correct sequence

            Jims right

In the set up booklet for the finisher it tells you to register the finisher. I would suggest that when you upgraded the firmwere this was set back to original settings , Follow Jims instruction and all should be well ,,

Thanks that worked perfect. I went into the options and put a #1 next to the finisher.

That caught me out on my first install never again..had a fault recently where the Pro Punch exit motor which is a 5 phase motor took out the driver for the motor .I replaced both together not just the driver as from past experiences on NP products but the strange thing was no error codes just that burnt smell .
