Don't know canon that well, customer called and said green arrow on top of doc feeder is always flashing and it won't work or may go through then "check document" message. When they try to copy off the glass they can only open feeder a few inches and put doc on glass. They said if they press on rear left of the feeder green flashing arrow goes out and the feeder will work fine. Sounds like the open/ close sensor? or another sensor?

Any information before I go out to service it would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds to me like something in the doc feeder is knocked out of place causing the machine to think something is in the doc feeder. could be a loose wire or sensor or a misplaced actuator or a bad one. I would probably take the covers off and repeat what the client says solves the issue to find the cause. Personally I think the paper detect sensor isnt sitting in its home position quite right or the door isnt latching all the way due to a broken catch.
