The next step would be to replace the open interface pcb.

Blank Display, Green LED Light is ON and the Machine Cycles : iR C5180 Series
      Approved

      Symptom
      1. You have a blank display, the green LED light is ON and the machine cycles when turned ON.
      2. The machine will not go in Download Mode (2&8) even if you change the bootrom chip to another one.

      Cause
The Sub Main Boards can short out the Main Controller if defective. No response from the 2&8 (Download) command even when you replace the bootrom chip is another indication that the Main Controller is shorting out.

      Action
      1. First remove the SUB LAN-bar-A (LAN connection, HDD controller, HDD power supply) board from the Main Controller and see if the machine displays an E748. If so, replace the SUB LAN-bar-A part number FM2-6851-000.
      2. Remove each sub board until you get a response (error code, progress bar, etc...) on the display panel. The sub board removed is defective and needs replacement.
      3. Please note that any of the Sub Main Boards can cause the same effect. In this case, the Sub Lan-bar-A board was shorting out the Main Controller. Remove each sub board one at a time and turn machine ON until you receive some response from the display panel.
