firmware more than likely will not fix it..

HOW are you printing to it?

WHAT are you printing to it?

WHAT paper are you printing onto?

those are just a start of my Q's.

If the machine is on a network with net access simply enter service mode & select update SSW.

50xx/52xx when starting to print/run slowly normally means fuser is at end(or near) of life or on a few occasions hdd starting to fail(with no errors)

Hi, because, below the screen keep showing
'starting up' i need to wait for at least 5 minutes, before it's getting on standby and ready to print....but when copying,it is on normal speed
Only when printing it is slowing.

hello what type of driver are you using?
PS takes time to process the impression.
PCL or UFR II processes printing faster..

Im using pcl...but the main thing is that,it is not show 'starting up' at the pc,but at the printer screen,i dont think the driver is the problem.even when i try print configuration report also slow, need to wait about 5 mins, before it come out printed

If the machine is telling you "Please Wait", the print drivers would have nothing to do with your problem.

How many prints are on that machine? If the total is anywhere near 300K, then you're likely looking at the fuser unit being close to end of life as was suggested above.

If you're well BELOW that number, you could also be looking at a hard drive that's getting ready to fail. A firmware update MIGHT help, but if you're just an end user, you might be better off hiring a Canon technician to come and service that machine for you. If you're a tech, get ready to order some parts.
