Canon IRC5250 data missing when scanning

This Canon IRC5250 intermittently voids out most of the page except for the edge on one side or the whole image is blank.

Please through out your ideas as I need help.

First thing I would do is update the firmware.

Does this issue occur only on scanning or when copying also?

Through feeder? Off the glass? Need more info....

Delivered one, about month ago, customer called next day, scanning only half a copy, single side only, not when duplexing, replaced feeder from parts 5250, problem solved, had to charge them, feeder dropped too hard, scanning optical damaged on feeder. As for your problem, is it one sided? Or duplex side?
