faint white line only in magenta

ir DX 3725i with 12000 on counter. 4000 of which are color.

Already cleaned the glass with the cleaning rod and inspected the drums.

Any suggestions would be appreciated thanks.

Thanks for quick reply and for your help.
Is it using the included blue rod in the toner / drum door? Did that 5x for each color yesterday.

I'm not a Canon tech so I can't say for sure but I doubt it.

Let's get some more information.

-Does the white line show up on both copy and print?

- If the white line is showing only when you copy, are you copying off the glass or thru document feeder?

I cut my test print chart to remove the part with the white line and made a copy through the glass and feeder. The white line is visible on both glass and feeder. The white line is also visible from the service menu test print selection.

pull the laser... clean both sides of laser slit glass.

check polygon mirrors.

it doesn't take much to prodcue a line.

Move the drum to another colour and see if deletion moves. If not pull the dev out and check the cylinder for a full coating of toner. If good, clean the laser

Pull the DV unit out rotate by hand, you'll see a slight deletion, now rotate the wrong way look for a small lump of hard toner or dev & pick it out.

Now rotate the unit until you can't see a deletion & the coating on the Roller is evenly coated.

Found line on dev unit. Count not find the piece of hard toner / developer. Removed doctor blade and rotated unit until most of the developer on roller went back into hopper and reinstalled doctor blade. Rotated unit to coat roller evenly with developer.
