    Canon fax question

    Hello

The boss sold a Canon IR Adv C5560i with a fax. Unfortunately the machine that he bought for me to refurb did not have a fax. I have found the AS1 fax from one of our suppliers. Can anyone tell me if I need to order something in addition to the as1. I have been working on Toshibas for as long as I can remember but we sell a Canon once or twice a year. Any info is greatly appreciated.

    Re: Canon fax question

I don't know about newer Canons, but 15 years ago when I worked on Canons, the machine was configured at the factory. There simply wasn't a simple way to change the original configuration. I'll be watching the responses. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

+1 Yeah simple to fit & they come with installation instructions in the box.

Thank you for the information. I am having trouble finding this option. I did find the as1 0166C002AA. Is there any chance that they are compatible?

The Canon IR_ADV C5560i takes the Super G3 FAX Board-AS2 according to the Canon configurator.

              Hello

I have installed the fax board and the machine is not recognizing the fax. I was told that I needed to update the firmware and I have had that done and the machine is still not recognizing the fax. Dose anyone have any other tips? Thank you in advance for any and all help.
