    iRC5045 drum won't reset automatically

I manually cleared PT-DR-M but the LF counter for M still reads 0, should be 100?
Installed 2 drums in an identical machine last week and both reset automatically upon install.
Power was off, but main switch was still on - could this cause chip issue? Disabled AINR, , rebooted, reenabled AINR
Concerned that the state and data of new drum is using old values still, M has weak solids

New drums on Canon the LF counter starts at 0% when they reach 100% that's end of life. (but you can usually get 150% without any quality issues.)

When you fit drum it goes back to 0 when on 100% that means life is up

RE: When you fit drum it goes back to 0 when on 100% that means life is up
Thanks for clarifying, what threw me is that the Y drum is also reading 0 in the LF counter; and it's clearly been in the machine for a long time.
This machine has been previously serviced, not by us...

The new drum has a fuse that is opened when installed, resetting the life counter to "0". These machines measure drum film thickness to calculate drum usage(%)
