    C5240, "printer malfunction"

hey guys.. totally unfamiliar with this machine. I haven't gone there yet, but I don't see any other message on the panel, from the picture the customer sent me.
    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance!

Go to the copy mode, the error code is shown there E0000xxx-xxxx.
I don't care about who your father is, as long as I'm fishing here, you won't walk on water.

Probably the worst code you can get. The transfer belt is not centered. Good luck in your fight.

Thanks for all the help guys! I probably wouldn't mess with trying to save the belt, I would just offer to replace the whole thing.

If you have the service manual, take the belt off, clean the large rubber drive roller & refit the belt.

This will get the device up & running.

Just in case the customer did want to replace the belt, is there some kind of reset procedure for the error code that I have to do, or will the machine do it itself when rebooted?

If you have never done it before you will need the service manual. Send me an email address (PM) and I may be able to help you with that.

No reset needed, one you refit the belt & set it in the correct position. Refer to the service manual (attached below)

There was also a firmware update for this issue.
