Canon iRADV 8585 error code E197-0181

Hi Good Day guys,

I have a unit iRADV 8585 II with error code E 197-0181. Check on the error code the symptom is DC Controller.
Anyone have face this error code ?

Is the DC Controller machine version I and II same with machine version III ?

Gen I and Gen II is the same DC Controller, Gen III is different.

Check for paper in the electrical connectors behind the main drawer.

Is there any other error code listed in Service Mode?

If no other error codes, backup the DC controller then do a DC con clear.

Reboot and see if the E197-0181 returns. If the code returns, do the restore of DC con.

Possible issue with the dc controller.

Check connections on the DC controller before replacing.

I have had paper in the fuser connector as papafred said.

Thank you guys for the suggestion given.

Anyway today I have check and try all the suggestion given by you guys still same error code after reboot the machine.
Even I try clear the MN Con still the same. Is it possible to format the HDD and re-install back the firmware will fix the problem ?

I not dare to try to swap the DC controller P.C.B from a working condition machine to this error code machine to confirm is DC Controller
P.C.B problem. Any other method to recover this DC controller ?

Good day every one,

After a month finally this unit with error code E197-0181 solved. Is due to human error by a junior engineer. He took a version 3 DC con p.c.b fix
to a version 1 iRADV8585 machine and update the DC version that cause the error code.

Remedy : Took the DC con p.c.b which error code fix back to version 3 iRADV8585 machine and overwrite the DC Con version to version 3 firmware.
