C2880i Color Displace Help

Hello,

I have bougth an used canon IR C2880i, i had a lot of problems with the toner dens but that problem i have fixet by the HV PCB thare was an bad contact to the ITB.

But now i have an problem with the Colors they are not perfectli alined.

(If i print out the in Service mode NR 6)

i can see all the 4 colors but they are not at the rigth pos. , but the fault is not over the hole page only at the half of the Page witch comes out at the front of the printer.

the other half ist much better alinement.

I have try to ajust the IMG_REG but if the bad half ist ok than the other half ist bad.

(i have checkt the LASER FSLUT vlues with the label in the printer) the are all rigth.

Try a DC-CON CLR then run auto gradation adjust.

Do you think its about the frimware?

I have an new firmware from printcopy but i dont know how the Update works.

I have the USB verson of the firmware, but the files dosnt look like that they are rigth.

The problem is i don't konw how to falsh.

the firmwar what i have looks like this:

And the name of it is C 3380
My printer is the C2880, but on the service manual are the C2880 and the 3380.

Do you have the newest version ? and give me an Manual to make this?

And the name of it is C 3380
My printer is the C2880, but on the service manual are the C2880 and the 3380.

Hi,

I suggest you clean the photo sensors located on the ITB frame;at the same time have a look at the drums state and the ITB cleaning blade.Replace if necessary.

I hope these tips will help you resolve the issue.

i cleaned the sensors int he process unit but it did not work and I EXCHANGED the process unit with other machine and now both of them are working ...............???????????????????????????

I have found this:

In the text they mean i can do :
1) Perform the service mode > service chart print > service chart print 8.

But if I print in Service mode PG type 8 the image dose not look like in pic 2.

Dose someone know how i can print this out ( with that chart i can easy ajust the offset of the colors)

On the next page is a calculation to get the rigth offset values.
