        you can put new Hdd and then turn on power then you need to press *17-39* . if you press correctly machine give you hdd format option. select number 1 and then make turn off machine. after turn on power it take 5 to 6 min to boot up.

                Ive never heard of 17-39 in a million years. Its not gonna work. Canon uses the SST (Service support tools) which is a proprietary software tool.
