Canon IRA C250IF sending solid black when faxing from a yellow original

Hi Guys!
I have a doctor's office that faxes from a yellow original, that faxes solid black to the receiving end, as well as prints solid black on the tx with image for confirmation.
Any ideas?

check scan setting and mode, change scan to photo mode settings. One question, is the copy of the yellow document also very dark? Some information on this would be appreciated

In the Density-Options - Try to turn Background-Density Auto ON.
