    Canon DX5840 Jam 0107

I have a canon DX5840 I picked up on the cheep , low mileage. Getting a 0107 Jam code PS19 sensor. Can anyone give me a hint where to start? PS 19 sensor is working correctly so it is jamming some where near the transfer roller. Looking for a service manual if anyone could help.

    Thanks Larry

Does it only jam from one tray ?

Check the condition of the feed rollers & try a fresh / new ream of paper.

    Here's the service manual.

      No from both trays

They are the first thing I replaced and also a fresh ream of paper.

      Here's the service manual.

      Thank you very much.

With the help Copier Tech supplied I was able to remove the ITB and found it Jammed at the ITB Cleaner, ripping the belt.

Will look for the part numbers for the ITB Belt and Cleaner and replace both. Maintenance did not call for one as it only had 92 K on the units.

Well in removing the ITB cleaner there was nothing between the belt and cleaner but the damage looked like a screw got stuck there and jammed the ITB belt. Still looking for the item that was jammed in there. It also bent the cleaning blade, metal, where the jam was. The saga continues.

I was able to find a part number for te ITB Cleaner, FM1 R465-000, But I cannot locate a part number for the electrostatic belt. I can find the whole Transfer belt assembly but I just need the belts part number. Any help will be appreciated.

Here's the parts manual. You can just replace the belt, it is a little tricky if you've not done it before.

But the complete unit will be rather expensive.

Well while waiting for the parts I decided to search thee cavity where the ITB, Drums and developers are to see if I could find where the screw came from or any other crap which will cause a problem later. I looked in detail and could not find anything. I am a little disappointed that I could not find a cause but I feel confident when I reassemble the ITB and cleaner there wont be any problems.

                  Thanks all for your help,
                  Larry

if you dont have the topspearl or white powder. Always make about 5 skyshots to get the new parts coated and lubed.
I have used Canon Imagerunner parts for sale. Most are floor model Color and / Advances Imagerunner with some 3025 3235 parts. Several intact machines being parted.
