[Misc] Canon iR1024 - Drops of water

    Hello:

I have a problem with a Canon iR1024. The paper jams in fuser area. I have notice that drops of water form near the Fuser Unit.

I had lubricated with silicone oil or Canon Grease, and in both cases I have the same problem. I changed the DC Controller and Power Supply PCB also.

Does anybody can help me with suggestions or solution?

    Thanks!!

    Moisture inside indicates wet paper.
Humidity levels in the spot must be pretty high.
Have the customer install a dehumidifier.

As Phil said, paper is soaked or environment.

Most likely it's the paper, it hits the fuser and "flash steams" the moisture out of it. That Canon is a tiny little shit box with no fuser fan from what I remember...

Failing to plan is planning to fail!!!

        Thanks for the answer.

I had tried with 3 differents paper brands and it happens in customer office and in my place. There is no humidity in the environmient. I replace the fuser unit also.

There is nothing in the machine to produce moisture. Enviromental print on service mode? Where are you located? As I said, machine won't produce water. If so I would patent it. Moisture in air or paper, or shitty ventilation around machine. I've seen this every year in my city for 35 years of repairing copiers

Wet paper + 180f fuser = moisture inside machine.
UNLESS there is a regularly watered plant above it!
(Don't laugh had that on a LJ II decades ago)
