Hi,I have a machine that the progress bar goes across a third and freezes.It will stay in that condition all day,
no error codes, unable to access service mode,or he check, replaced hard drive ,reseated cobs,chips,still unable to get in ,
Any ideas ,main con 1 or 2 . ?

Were you able to format HDD and load system software?

Unable to get in to hard drive,service mode,hd check,disconnected hard disc got 602 error, otherwise device
completely dead ,stuck at a third progress bar on display,and stays there.no error codes .

Did you put in a hard drive from another machine that was the same model and that was working? You know that you can not put in just any hard drive?

I fitted a new sealed canon hard drive as per parts catalogue.fk4 1729.I tried usb and crossover cable, 2 ,8 and 1. 9. No joy ,can not get in to,service mode, or device ,totally froze.

Either 1 or 2 , but unless I find a scrapper, boards are more than the machine is worth! Anyone got a scrapper?
