    Canon IPF670 with 03800500-2F30 error

    Hello
We have a customer with a Canon IPF 670 with the sporadic error code 03800500-2F30.
After switching on the device, it starts up, starts cleaning, then starts cleaning again and displays the error code. After restarting, cleaning again, then everything is okay and it prints. However, this error now appears more often and it annoys the customer. Question: Print head defective and/or maintenance cassette full? This is shown as 40%.
Any idea or suggestion would be very nice.
    Thanks

In a low usage environment the printhead will harden up and give this code. To prevent this from happening the enduser needs to print at least 50ft2 per month.

When you're ready to change the printhead, make sure that the maintenance cartridge is above 40% and all ink cartridges are above 25% capacity or they may run out during the printhead purge. Replace printhead PF-04 (3630B003AA) and if needed maintenance cartridge MC-10 (1320B014AA).

On one occasion I needed to change the carriage relay PWB along with the printhead. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Check for air in the lines. Replace the cap absorbers also. Clean the little holes in the pockets that they sit in, and make sure all rubber tabs are above the absorber when installed

Updating the firmware may fix some errors and possibly delay replacement of the head and maintenance kit.
