Canon IRC5535 scan to email, cannot connect

This machine is new to us from another company. IT told me they have used the same setup that they have used for several of the Canon IRC5550i's they have and it fails to send. The only thing I can think of is because this IRC5535i is version III and the Canon IRC5550's that worked fine are Verision I and II.

Please let me know if you have any ideas? Do I need to do Factory reset, upgrade firmware or ??

Also does anyone have the Firmware for the Canon IRC5535 III?

    Hi,

I would expect the GEN III device to work rather than the older models.

However yes sounds like you might need to update the firmware / system software.

We can supply this for you.

Feel free to contact us via either web link below.

If you're using Gmail or AOL email servers, you need to generate an "App password" for each device (copier) that is set up to use the email server.

Canon gen 1 2 3 can send email exactly the same. The problem is the SMTP service chosen by the company and tech. SMTP to go would be a great individualized solution. 1000 email a month is even free.
I have used Canon Imagerunner parts for sale. Most are floor model Color and / Advances Imagerunner with some 3025 3235 parts. Several intact machines being parted.

I reinitialized the machine from Data management. It was the previous users settings that held it up. Reset and setup again, works fine now.
