    [Misc] scanning from IR advanced C5250 to windows 11 computer

    Hello, I'm unable to scan to a windows 11 computer, I did set it up on a windows 10 computer. turned on smb and file and print sharing with firewall turned off, still says re sending then a tx report. says tx incomplete and transaction ok. Thanks

          What dont you understand. I can scan to windows 10 smb but not to windows 11 smb that's about the best I can describe it.

              hello you have to put a fixed ip address to the computer, and create a password to the computer

                  My windows 10 computer in not fixed and it works just fine. Yes, it does have a user name and password, you can't set it up without it.

                      You may need to update the firmware to support SMB 2/3.
                      Windows 11 turned off SMB v1.0 by default this will block scanning from your Canon unless updated. See attached file.

                          Thanks, I was afraid of that! I have no way to get that firmware due to not being an authorized dealer. Is there a ftp utility I can use?

                                  Another option would be if the computers are all in an office, the Windows 10 computer where the scans arrive, share that folder over the network, and from the Windows 11 computer to be able to access that network shared folder.

                                              Thanks guys, for all the options. The machine is at my home and I'm having my
                                              wife scan to email until i select the option. Thanks again and I'll post when I get the scanning going.
