[Error Code] BizHub C284e ghost duplex jam 14

I'm looking at a Bizhub C284E that upon power it comes up with a jam 14 in the duplex area. The fuser lamp doesn't come on and the delivery assembly or fuser doesn't rotate or even get a pulse of power. I have swapped out the duplex assembly, the paper delivery assembly as well as the fuser with the same results. Has anyone seen this problem? Can the PRCB board be replaced, with a board from another copier, without destroying the good board. I read in the service manual not to replace the SSD board or the MFP board from used machines but not sure about the PRCB. Has anyone done this before?
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Mark

    Hello,
Did you replace the UPPER duplex unit (includes the Paper Exit Flag /Sensor) or just the MIDDLE duplex unit (swing out door which also holds the TX Roller) ?
I have had issues with both especially on older E-series. The upper which houses the exit flag will stick sometimes to the old rubber pad and same for the lower. Matter of fact I had one today where the flag wore a groove in the old rubber pad and was sticking to the plastic intermittent, I know yours is on boot so might not be this exact issue but worth checking. As far as replacing the PRCB with a used one, I have not done that myself, but would avoid it due to possible (FW mismatch issues). Good luck.

Thanks for your help I had replaced the upper duplex assembly and that's where the code showed it to be. I went back and looked at the lower unit where the transfer roller is located and everything looked good, so I started tracing the wires down and the tech before me had left the lower duplex unit unplugged where it plugs in behind the white cover that hides the network/fax wiring. Removed the cover plugged it in and what do you know. usually something simple. Thanks again! MJR

There wasn't a code like that, just a 14 in the little circle. but I figured it out. Thanks for your help I had replaced the upper duplex assembly and that's where the code showed it to be. Nice, good find. I had something similar happen to me on a Kyocera 4501i. The connector harness on the door where the transfer belt plugs in is very tight and the "prior tech" might have partially seated it causing a jam on boot.
