Uniflow slow response on the Control panel

    Greetings

Not sure if this is the right place for this question. We have a customer that run UniFlow online on their copier. when you start or wake the device from sleep, sometimes the control panel just turns white (at times upwards to 10 minutes) before it shows the Home screen. This is intermittent. Sometimes it starts normally.

I have updated the firmware, booted into MEAP Safe Mode, make sure the device starts properly, then switch back to start with uniflow. when i do this, uniflow start properly, but then after a few days, it reverts back to the white screen when you wake from sleep mode.

    Has anyone seen this behavior?

    Thanks in advance

Usually when a Canon device is slow to start / boot the HDD is failing.

Which Canon device are you referring to ?

This is a Canon imagerunner Advance DX C3826i.

If I boot the device up in MEAP safe mode, the device boots to the Home screen in the normal amount of time. When you boot to Uniflow, thats when it comes to the blank white screen and take a while to get to the home screen.

      Thanks

Uninstall Uniflow, update the system software then reinstall Uniflow see if that helps.

Check for Power Over Ethernet (POI). If present have IT turn it off at the switch.

              Late update.
The issue on this one was a VPN connection. The device was on a network that had to go through a vpn to another network before it can reach out to Uniflow server. when the network is busy, this is when it takes the longest time to login (normally in the morning) and while it was trying to login, the screen would be blank. Nothing shows up until the login process is done.
I always went to this place to troubleshoot the issue when they were done for the day because they didn't want me to be in the way. so when i get there (in the afternoon) the network traffic is very light and therefore login to Uniflow was fast and the screen comes up right away.
Unfortunately, they didn't let me know that between the time of the original uniflow install and when they started having the problem, they had signed up with a firm that required them to send all their network traffic through a vpn so they would have access to internal applications.
Very frustrating. i only found out about the vpn when i asked if they had any new network devices. they said that someone from the new company came in an put that little box on the network

My first thought was replace the HDD with Seagate L41606-011. If you can perform data export to your flash drive first makes reloading that much faster. I have it down to 15 min
