    Canon Ir 3300

Hi I really need some help here this is a good one.
I have a canon ir 3300 when you turn it on it will work just fine and come up to ready and you can make copies just fine. When you open the front door then close it. I get a E803.000 error code. open it again and I get 712.0001. open it again and I get a working machine and no more codes all is working fine ...
But when you open the front door you get all the same codes in the same order. I have replaced the DC Controller,Main Controller,HD, Reader Controller, the Memory dimm. unpluged all the accessories ADF, Extra paper deack,Unpluged and repluged all the connectors in the back of the machine even the high voltage power supply. I think im at the end here not much more left to try. Any one have any idea??

When you replaced the HD did you install the latest firmware? Old firmware could be a problem if it's spitting out error codes for no reason.

Other than that all I can think of is that maybe something that isn't expected to break down probably has due to the age of the machine (hence why it's not mentioned in the SM). I'd check near the parts you replaced to see if anything appears to be damaged or worn out.

I'd check to make sure that the copier recognises that the front door is open (if that's possible. May be somewhere under I/O menu in Service Mode).

I would check the front door switch. It could be your 24 volt supply. But suspect the front door switch has a bad contact causing this.

I'm with goofball. Front door interlock? Any other interlock? Often interlocks are wired in series, so any interlock can produce the same effect.
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Hmm that is a good one but hmm.... I don't think so because every third click of the toggle switch it works fine with out opening the front door . so that puts out the switch. I am going for the main power supply and the voltage regulator. keep in touch. I will let you all know what it was.

Something got to do with the upper block of the machine.....my opinion is poor connection or irregularity of DC supplies to the scanning lamp or Board

I have one machine that get to show any error code like e-712,e803,e220.I change the power board and it solve everything.I think is cause by dc24v inconsistency.
