    Gp405 Copier : Dirty Edge

    Hi all,
    I need your help and advise.

    Machine : Canon GP 405
    Problem : Edge dirty after printing 1000+ See the image below :

    Action Taken:
    1.Open Drum unit : Clean the charger roller and remove waste toner and clean the blade.

    Happen after 1000++ printing.

    2. Change new clean blade...

    Happen after 1000++ printing.

    I'm really sick now. please help me.

    1000 copies straight copying non stop or your count by accumulating ?

      It happen during copying process after 1000++, and also i found charge roller dirty( toner on stick to chager roller) at that particular area.

      please help ...

        replace charge roller and check!

          You haven't said how old the drum is either...how many copies?

            another thing to check is the blank exposure lamps all working they provide blank lead edge

            also check the blank lead edge setting if set to nothing the toner will foul up the charge roller transfer roller etc etc

            other than that the drum unit transfer roller and is it genuine canon toner or katun toner

              Oze ... i change new fresh drum # 1.. it happen after 1700 copies during continues copy process.

              welshman ... please quote me with menu i should enter.. this "check the blank lead edge setting if set to nothing the toner will foul up the charge roller transfer roller etc etc ".

              Davidj7 ... i will try your method ....

                Have you replace the spacer roller, as spacer roller may deformed after machine run above 250k.

                        It start happen during copying process. After that it happen to all, it always dirty at one side only as per photo attach. But the density of dirty become darker from beginning.

                            Xtraez Toner original ? Tank change for comparison before? i got this issue before as printing and copying have different value of Bias...please recheck this two and try to check your copy gain and bias....
