Do you have a warning at the bottom of the screen that says "limited functions on"?

There are some things you must do in service mode to correct that Missing option.

          tray help

There are settings in Service Mode in order for Tray C to show and be selected in Additional Functions>Common Settings>Tray Designation. The settings can be found in, COPIER>OPTION>ACC>OUT-TRAY>set to1, and COPIER>OPTION>ACC>>IN-TRAY>set to 1. Both of these Service Mode settings must be set to 1 in order for the machine to display Tray C.

Andy has indeed given you the answer as to how to re-establish external tray C back to existance. What baffles me is how did turning off the copier and back on blow out the setting in Options??

                Thank you for replying andy..

i am checking copier rear side and tray "c" side what they myfixit said.
                all components are very good.

next i can do andy what he said...

i can set it waht you say "COPIER>OPTION>ACC>OUT-TRAY>set to1, and COPIER>OPTION>ACC>>IN-TRAY>set to 1. Both of these Service Mode settings must be set to 1 in order for the machine to display Tray C.

after then display the tray "c". after missing the tray "B". only two tray will be displayed tray "c" and tray "A".

display the Tray "C" avd working fine tray "C"..

                but tray "B" missing.??????
i can set it go the back default settings like OUT-TRAY>set to 0 and IN-TRAY>set to 0. as well as display tray "A" and tray "B". no display the tray "c".

now i can set it it OUT-TRAY>set to 1 and IN-TRAY>set to 0. now see again. display tray "A". and Tray "C". Tray "B" again missing.

now power switch off and on the copier . now displayed the three trays and working fine as.

                thank you very much andy.

You may have a dead PCB in tray A or B.

                    I just had a thought...

I never asked this question,, does this copier have an internal finisher or just the plastic trays....?

So after you set the value in service you must restart the copier for the change to take effect.

I could not figure out how turning off internal tray was the fix,,, till you mentioned that there was an internal finisher. With that finisher installed, there is no change to the options settings, only the external tray. The finisher signals the copier that it is present, and the number of trays in the finisher is also handled by the finisher.

                            Glad you have it resolved!
