    Check

    Check Nip in servicemode.
If the pressure is wrong you kan se it on the test.
Adjust fixpressure so its equal on both sides.
The lower roller could be defekt so try change that one too.
But the Nip check is important in this case..

In worst case it could be the fix assy that is skew.
Or something in the cheramical heatingelement.
Then you have to be like my colleges, they always change assy.
    Ther life is simple..

    He he

Change the pressure roller and the bushings.
The film running off to one side will happen if you change the film and not the pressure roller at the same time.

i agree with oze, check pressure roller. Are you using OEM film or Canon Film. I have seen lots of OEM film which goes in under 100 copies/prints.

lemme ask u techs a question.. we all know that the film is cheap and you usually can get it to work with a new one..... but a whole installs in minutes you are in and out of the customers office in minutes.. you know it will work the first time .... no expensive recalls..... why take the chance? REPLACE the ASSEMBLY

Well the only reason to change the film is the cost, maybe $10 for the film verus a couple hundred for the whole assy, but the last time I checked the cost for a tech to walk thur your front door was around $100 and the amount of time it takes to swap the whole assy the paper work takes longer to fill out but in todays mind set is how much do you save on your buget is more important than say cust. up time and relibilty

In my country its the other way round, tech's are cheap , spares are costly. A film would costs $20 and a tech would be around $5. See the diffrence.Any one want to work here? ha

brothers! i am no better from your condition also. my boss limit our spare part changebility so trying to do a whole spare part changing would cost my life....sometimes even the genuine fixing film assembly would cost you a lot of trouble too. i have had this problem often so for this problem try replace the pressure roller, bushing and bearing. if you wanna save cost rinse the bearing in solvent(alchohol) and the bearing would work fine. if you have replaced the fixing film or assembly remember to rotate the gear to check the film rotation. sometimes the fixing film assembly could be defective even though it's genuine.
