    Hello guys
Thank you for yous answers, but a new technitian came in today and he said it was the boot rom of the machine.
The thing is that I do not live in USA, and well now I'm calling canon to see the price of that
Thank you again and best regards

I don't really know, I think also it's very weird for that to get bad. I was not at the bussines since I had a problem and my employee was but he doesn't have a clue of computer stuff.
I bring with me 3 old laptop hard drives in case it was the hard drive, but then again I was not here. I'm going to call him and ask those questions and keep you posted guys.

        Thanks again

          Re: Canon service support tool

He told me that the machine doesn't start and that he peformed a test but he can't remember the error code.
I insisted that it can be the hard drive, that is why I asked for the sst and the system software, I got the sst but lack the software.
I know it connects with crossover cable wich I can make and I'm pretty good with computers, more f*cked up that it is right now it can't be I guess.

When I insisted that it can be the hard drive he told me it can be the hard drive or the boot rom, the machine won't turn now even the screen, they tryed to load the system new into the hard drive yesterday and they couldn't, that is why I think is the hard drive. Now he just told me it can be the boot rom or the hard drive, I hate this 3 technitians already an each one tells me a different story .

          I'll keep you guys posted

You have this TRAINED tec. bring a new HDD/
then have this person >install the new HDD>Format it with SST>
then load the Printer Firmware on it

Why would somebody do that? It's not like you contribute to the board, or that you'll be back if some other asshole gives it to you.

Hi, I'm currently running SST 4.22 and I'm about to upgrade to WIN 7. As the old version doesn't support USB to Parallel on Win 7 I would be grateful If someone could provide me with version 4.33 Ez or NAVI 2.31.

You still are not going to be able to use the old USB to Parallel Nethawk cable with Win 7, no matter what version of SST you use. You would need the newer cable, which I do not have the part number for, but I am sure someone will pop up and provide that number. My advice is to hang onto your old laptop to service the older boxes that require the parallel port. I saved an old lappy that had the parallel port installed.

                        USB-Parallel cable (FY9-4368-000)

The FY9-4154-000 USB-Parallel Adapter is not supported on Windows Vista or Windows 7.
The FY9-4368-000 USB-Parallel Adapter and Service Support Tool Version 4.33Ez or later is required for Windows Vista or Windows 7.
