    ir330 doc feed

I have a ir330 doc feeder jamming problem. Paper will be stuck half-way out the exit on the right. Does it with 1 or 10 originals intermittently.

My memory ain't what is used to be and I swear I've seen this before (ir600 maybe?) but rather then blow a few brain cells I thought I'd ask the pro's here.

I have found that when the feed and sep rollers and belts go, paper hesitates and the delivery is looking for a longer paper. I had one that I fed ltr r and it would copy legal and then jam. I replaced all the belts and rollers and...... knock on wood.

The problem is in the feed section. either the sep roller of the pickup belts are slipping. Maybe could clean the rollers/belts, but if it slips at pickup, it will jam at the right side, sticking out about an inch. i hate this feeder. It is "top feeding" when this happens, which used the middle ribbed pickup belts and the sep roller in the "center" of the separation shaft underneath the pickup belts. Take out the belt unit and then you can get to the middle rollers underneath. scrub these with wd40 and then dry wipe. that can work for the meantime, but probably need to be replaced.....

        Jam codes? DADF-A1 or DADF-B1? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

if its the a-1 check this ,if the paper at the entrance is still under the sensor flag at the paper tray then it will jam with the paper sticking out the exit about a inch or so.as said its the feed roller asby, the top belts.you can clean or replace the asby.to get by.try cleaning and you can adjust the screw in the middle for more pressure get you by, till you replace it.or you can change the feeder to fax mode always,to feed from bottom and sep from top.aslways to get you by,till you replace these units.which was always fun,not really.good luck, hope this helps.

Its not the one with the sep pad and big feed roll. It uses the 4 middle feed belts. I'm too lazy too look up the model, but I imagine you know which one I mean.
Thanks for the info, I will replace the feed belts when I go back and get the jam codes. I just wanted to check if there were any common issues with the exit area on the right, but sounds like it just needs new feed belts.

              1 hump or 2?

I always used that analogy to figure which one it was. The A1 has only the mech at the left, the B1 has feed asm's on both ends, hence, 2 humps
