Canon NP 6050 drum unit removal

I have the great fortune to work on this relic, and I can not for the life of me find my old manual, probable trashed when we moved. If memory serves me correctly I have to get the developing unit to dis engage somehow. Anyone still have this info?

    Thanks

Open right side, remove screw holding cover (lower left as you are looking at it), unplug connector, pull developer out.

They may be old, but most of the newer B/W machines disassemble the same way.

Once you've got the developing unit out, you'll have to remove the toner hopper. There are a few screws and the drum retainer, lower the bed handle, then the rest of the imaging unit will slide right out.

It makes a disconcerting noise when you slide out the imaging unit. The drum shaft is textured, and the ground inside makes the noise. The first time I thought for sure I had wrecked the drum. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
