Sounds like the machine is "Limited Function Mode"
    Goto Addition Functions {*)
    Common Settings
    Go down a few pages
    Tap on limited Functions Mode
If it's ON, tap "OFF", then OK
Then press the reset button a few times, back to normal screen
    Then REBOOT your device
Fingers crossed, everything should be okay

Try service mode Function>Clear>MMI and reboot.

Maybe, there is an error not shown on the screen....go into service mode, and look the error history for e5xxxx errors, then we can look further

You need to check for errors! I am sure there will be a finisher error. Address that error and your issues will be over.

Did you reset everything after disabling functions limited.
Main unit then finisher. Finisher then main unit.
Are there any other accessories, internal punch, pro punch, ETC.

Hi Guys and thankls for all your continued help....I have tried dissableing the saddler, punch and stappler and feeder as advised and done a re-boot, after reboot they are all back on again but it still says finisher can not be used so something is still amiss, at least the actual IR7105 is ok so i think i will put it up for sale for just the copier itself and just throw in the finisher with it.....thanks for the help anyway chaps....chris

                  do complete shutdown

you have to wait the 5 minutes until it tells you to power down switch on side. you can't short cut and just turn off remember power off V-2 first then hold off button till you get please wait shutting down

Anything under limited functions should be off. There are two pages with options to limit under additonal functions>Common settings>limited functions mode.
Limited functions for the punch should be off as well

Check that Molex Connector at the copier end. Open the connector housing and check for broken wires or if the connector is unplugged or not fully engaged.

also check that both dip switches on Finisher Controller are set to ON !!!!!!!!!!!!!

                          * 2&8 * Copier Option look for ACCP or something like that then under the Finisher change the value to 1.

just wondering if you are following the correct shut down/restart proceedure for that model. If the device and accesories aren't shut down in the proper order, the finisher may not be recognized.

This is irrelevant. If the ACCPST-D is set 0, hypothetically speaking, Paper would just crash upon delivery. The machine recognizes the finisher.
So this would not be the case.

Techsupp, the worst case scenario would be..

A bad fuse PCB, check continuity on fuses,
Or, a bad switching regulator or, bad finisher controller PCB.

You have not mention any E-codes from service mode. There must be a Error code associated with the message. What are the error codes, this will help guide you in the right direction.
