E100 is a Beam Detect error. Your laser is dying. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

hi...the system error 100-001 is related to the laser unit malfunction..so you have to check any obstacles in laser unit
        or check the shutter movement..

???? did u service this printer before errors or copy q issue ??

***Half Clear/ Half Black glass copies only= is a scanner issue check below:
If your issue is with glass copies only try this: place paper on glass Lift cover & Look to see if the scan lamp stays on thru the scan ?? or try next :
Place the original on the glass, and completely covering the platen glass with white paper, close the feeder and make a copy. If the shadow still appears. The problem may be with the mirror alignment.

Check the reflector by the scan lamp. If it only happens when copying, this may be bent. I've had schools put a book on the glass and press down and when it scans the reflector gets bent on one side.

Lets get back on track here,, the E100 is the real issue here I believe,,, the scan lamp and reflectors have nothing to do with the E100. iR5000's have been out there a really long time,, sounds like your laser is showing it's age. Run Test prints from service mode to rule out the top end of the copier, this will cut your problem in half...

Also keep in mind that this copier's laser erases,, it does not write to black, it writes to white...

Does this machine get cold, 0 celsius or less? I have taken a cold machine from the car, and installed it in a warm humid environment, and gotten laser codes. It's because the polygon mirror or beam detect mirror have a coating of condensation, diffusing the laser beam.

Take my word for it. Your laser didn't heal itself. You can fix it now or wait until next week when it fails entirely. It's up to you. =^..^=

Here in the Philippines is summer season now.

This machine starts with error 0061. And what I gonna do is just clean the transfer assembly and the error gone. After a few minute error 100 occurred. And according to manual its the laser faulty. So i just leaved it. And when I opened in the next day the problem gone.

E061, E100, the laser is going bad. Replace it when you can.
