    after taking out the copycards system how can i disable it thanks

      Most copycard systems hookup to the copier wire harness thru a plug. The connector has a jumper plug on it that is normally left in place near this connector. When the system is disconnected, the jumper plug is reattached to the harness, and the copier is normally good to go again. At least that is how it was done in the olden golden days of yore,,, your mileage may vary of course...

      That is why it is important to leave the installation instructions for that device with the copier...

        Another possibility - if you used a control card just turn it off (service mode level 2, Copier>option>acc>cc-spsw). I remember using the shorting plug for the card reader on the iR5000 and NP6050, but (myself) have not used it on a 4570.

            go into service mode Level 2 COPIER > OPTION > ACC and set CC-SPSW to "0".
