I don't see this sub code in the manual. Machine goes to ready but when you scan one original it scans all the way thru then just cycles and status box says "scanning". After a while or if you cancel it goes into the code. If you copy off the glass same thing except paper feeds to reg roller and waits there until machine codes out. I got it to work for about 5 minutes with the first copy being just scan lines but then lost it. I've seen posts on the knowledge base about the ribbon cable which I'm gonna check. Any other ideas?

Couple of things could be going on.
Check the reader and all connections.
    Check your main controller.
    Check your dimms.

    There a couple of PCB's
    Interface,
    Reader controller,
    DC controller,
    Power supply,

Start with the basics, first reseat connectors.
