It's all about following a procedure in troubleshooting an issue/ learned that twenty years ago/ eliminate what's is working/ then proceed to next step/ I see a lot of rookie techs /end users n' other posters in the forum- swapping/switching/& replacing pcb's/units & other unnecessary parts to repair a problem. Wasted Time n' Costs are what eventually brings down a company.

Amen, some of our engineers stick to the service manual so much it's welded to them. If you take time to look and think about whats going on you will spot the problem and its not always "replace part A, replace part B, replace DC controller"

Short of calling a tech, you could try replacing the Fixing/Feeder assy. to the tune of about $2000.00
and that may not fix it. My point is, it's probably time to call a tech.

The money already spent on the fuser would have probably covered the service call.

Hey guys, I finally got the copier running but now tray 4 says A4. How do I change it back to 11x17? also when I make a copy the art work is off center, any thoughts?

                  Sounds like you did a ram clear...i hope you did a p-print before hand...if so re-input all the values...after a ram clear machine defaults to metric. Here's a start...OPT>CST....P SZ C1.....18 for LTR,same with P SZ C2,...P SZ C4....16 for 11x17...
