Help! our Canon IR c3080i cannot print, the scanner function works. but the printer is not. Able to access with the ip address in web browser. installed UFR II driver but not working.
Is this a new unit or one that was working and then stopped?
Do you have a Fiery controller hanging on the back?
Go into Additional Funtions -> Report Settings -> Print List -> Printer. Print a PCL or UFR II report to make sure you have the PDL language.
If you don't have UFR or PCL language installed it won't print, unless you have an external Fiery controller. If you do have a printer language installed look in service mode Copier->Option->INT-Face. Set IMG-CONT to 0.
The copier has the PDL language installed., It was working and then stopped. it worked w. the old ip address, now i cannot change the ip address back. i tried to input the ip on the web brower and the copier itself, but it keep remember the new ip address.
power on the copier holding down the 2 & 8 keys. Now try pinging the copier with 172.16.1.100. If the machine reply's this means the network board is good, if it does not reply first check your cable and IP address on the PC being used. If both check out OK or you can ping something else on the network replace the NIC card ( LANBAR-C PCB assembly) in the copier, FM2-9611-000. If the unit pings correctly when powered on in download mode but not in normal mode, one cause of the problem was found to be an option in TCP/IP settings turned on.
To resolve the problem go to Additional Functions > System Settings > Network Settings > TCP/IP Settings > and turn OFF Permitted Receiving MAC Address Settings.
Next power cycle the copier and try to Ping it.
