[Misc] Canon IR 330s DADF-B1 problem, misscounts the originals

    Hello all !
I need help with this one. It is a Canon IR330s with DADF-B1. If copying just one page from DADF it works. If more than one page, lets say 3 pages, it copies 3 pages and prints another blank page and asks to load the originals again. Then if I reload the same 3 originals it says that original quantity is not the same.

    Please help.

    Thank you.

Original sensor U504 needs to be adjusted.
    1. Put a solid black sheet of paper, face down, over the last original sensor of the original pickup tray. At this time, take care so that the black sheet will not cover the original set sensor.
    2. With ADF closed, enter service mode.
    3. Select FEEDER>FUNCTION>SENS INT.
    4. Press OK
    5. When the display changes from 'SERVICE' to 'READY', the adjustment is complete.

****Just to add on / read below width adjustment update procedure change

The service manual for the DADF-B1/K1 (FY8-13G6-010) has the procedure listed for the width adjustment of the original. DADF-K1/B1 width adjustment, instructs the tech to set the guides to Ltr and push Sw1, then move the guides to A4 and push SW1.

*** What it should instruct the tech to do is set the width guide to Ltr and push SW1 then move the guide to Ltr-R and push Sw1. When doing the procedure without moving the guide, the paper wrong size is detected and copying or scanning using the feeder will be affected.

      We have a winner!!

Also before running the sensor init,, be sure to spray out the sensor area with with your "PM in a can". The one in question is the one blocked by the lead edge of the paper when you place it into the entry tray. Just spraying it out would probably resolve the issue, but the sensor init is still a good idea...

Thank you Teckat and Mrfixit51 !
It's fixed ! First I sprayed it with "PM in a can" but that did not help. So I did the sensor initialization and width adjustment and now it's working like a charm.
I really appreciate your help guys. Thanks !
