    0212 Jams - 2270 Range

    Hi,

I was wondering if you could help me.

Starting to get more and more 0212 jams on the 2270 range now (PS2B stationary in buffer path unit) sometimes the paper stops halfway between the two sensors in the buffer path and sometimes the paper has fed into the external finisher and just hovering over that sensor.

Starting to see it more and more now on machines which have done 1.5million copies.

I've tried adding an extra turn to both sensor flags (PS1B and PS2B) and cleaning inlet rollers on finisher.

Just wondered if anyone had these jams before, i'm thinking its fuser related to be honest.

    Thanks in advance,

    Monsoon

The 0212 jam can be caused if the Duplex Guide on the 3 Way Unit is damaged.

    Check the areas circled.

#1 Spring. Make sure its there.
#2 Damper Pads. After a while they get sticky. That affects the flapper guide.

Thanks for your suggestions the spring is intact however the sponge mod pads had been completely removed so I added some new stuff and its not sticky.

The thing I can't understand is the paper doesnt even reach PS2B and its showing it as stationary.

      The fault is still ongoing.

Check the top of the lower right door, there is also a mod sponge there as well, check for ware and replace

Could be bad timing coming from the pick up feed section.

Does this machine have most modification for the paper feed section.
