It would help to have the jam code.
I'm pretty sure I know what they are, but others might not.

A jam code would be useful. Post it & will comment further. If it is code 0094 the prism may be out of position. See photo below for location of sensor prism

ir 5870 dadf reads jam at start
Got an ir c5870 DADF goes dead to remove jam when your press start. Open cover on DADF, no paper, close top lid, still says jam present.
Checked feeder in service mode and sen check, motor check, rollers, etc etc all come out OK!
Removed black plastic cover checked connection to sensor was a few pieces of paper under there removed them reseated black plastic - still goes to paper jam in feeder. Have to reboot copier to get rid of jam message but goes right to jam when you try to feed.
Any advice appreicated
